New rule for driving test changes and cancellations to reduce waiting times
Learner drivers will need to give more notice when changing or cancelling their car driving test to avoid losing the test fee from 8 April 2025.You now need to tell the DVSA if you wish to Change your Driving Test Date or Cancel 10 days before the date of the test
The DVSA recommends that most learners take at least 45 hours of professionaltuition and at least 20 hours with friends and family.
The average training hours is currently 35 hours at CPDL. As all learners are different, some will pass more quickly than others.
