Your Theory Test explained
Driving Standards Agency (DSA)
It's been announced that driving test candidates will no longer be able to use foreign language voiceovers and interpreters on their test from 7 April 2014.
The theory test is divided into two parts:
- A multiple-choice test comprising 50 multiple-choice questions covering
aspects of the Highway Code. The pass mark is 43.
The theory test now comprises 5 questions on a given case study.

2. A hazard perception test consisting of a series of video clips of actual
road hazards that need to be identified. The pass mark is 44.
